Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about working with Andrea Fourie Photography.
Your wedding day is filled with moments you will never experience in quite the same way again. Our job is to preserve those moments with care, creativity and an eye for the details that make your story uniquely yours.
Here are a few things couples often ask us before booking.
1. How many wedding photos will we receive?
We believe in delivering a beautiful, thoughtfully curated collection that tells the full story of your wedding day.
For our 8-hour wedding photography collection, you can expect 800+ professionally edited images. The final number will depend on the flow of your day, the events taking place and the moments worth preserving.
Rather than focusing on a specific number, our priority is to capture the emotions, details, connections and in-between moments that bring your wedding story to life. Every image we deliver is carefully selected and individually edited to reflect our signature style.
2. How many photos do we receive from our engagement session?
Our complimentary engagement sessions are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this season of your relationship and become comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day.
You can expect approximately 40–50 professionally edited, high-resolution images, delivered through your own private online gallery.
Your images are yours to download and enjoy, whether you choose to print them, share them with loved ones or use them to announce your wedding.
3. How do you edit our photographs? What do you change?
Editing is an important part of our artistic process. It is where we refine the light, colour and atmosphere of an image to create the polished, cohesive look that defines Andrea Fourie Photography.
Every selected photograph is individually edited. Depending on the image, this may include adjustments to exposure, white balance, contrast, colour tones, highlights, shadows and cropping. We also refine the overall colour grading so that your gallery feels consistent and beautifully connected from beginning to end.
Our approach is to enhance what is already there — the beautiful light, the emotion, the setting and the connection between you — while keeping your photographs natural and true to the moment.
We don’t believe in making every photograph look artificially perfect or changing you into someone you aren’t. We want you to look back at your wedding photographs years from now and recognise yourselves, your day and the feeling of being there.
Our editing is part of our artistry, not simply a finishing touch.
4. Can we see examples of your editing style?
Absolutely! We encourage every couple to explore our portfolio and get a feel for our signature style before booking.
Our editing balances natural skin tones, rich yet refined colours, beautiful light and a romantic, timeless atmosphere. The exact appearance of an image will naturally vary with the lighting, location, weather and surroundings on your wedding day.
We have included a before-and-after example to demonstrate how thoughtful editing can enhance an image while preserving the genuine moment captured.
We want you to book us because you love our work as it is — not because you expect us to recreate an entirely different style for your wedding.

5. Do you provide the unedited or RAW photographs?
We deliver a professionally edited final gallery rather than unedited RAW files.
RAW files are the original, unfinished files created by the camera. Our creative process includes selecting the strongest images and editing each one to meet our quality and artistic standards.
We take great care in curating your final gallery so that the photographs you receive represent the standard of work you see in our portfolio. This is an important part of the professional service we provide.
6. Will you capture both the big moments and the little details?
Absolutely. While the big moments are important, we know that the magic of a wedding often lives in the details, too.
From your carefully chosen flowers and wedding rings to the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the proud expressions of your family, the laughter during speeches and the spontaneous moments on the dance floor, we look for the elements that make your day yours.
Our approach combines intentional portraits and important formal moments with natural, candid storytelling. We want your gallery to bring back not only what your wedding looked like, but also how it felt.
7. Do you work with a second photographer?
Yes, our Silver Wedding Collection includes two photographers.
Having two photographers allows us to document different perspectives and moments happening simultaneously. While one photographer focuses on the main events, the second can capture additional reactions, candid moments, guest interactions and alternative angles.
It means we can tell a fuller story of your wedding day without asking you to be in two places at once.
Please refer to the details of your chosen collection for the specific coverage included.

8. Do you offer wedding videography?
Yes! We offer wedding photography and cinematic highlights videography, allowing you to relive your day through both beautiful still images and film.
Our cinematic wedding highlights film is approximately 8–10 minutes long, carefully edited to music to capture the atmosphere, emotion and most memorable moments of your celebration.
Rather than a traditional full-length wedding video, our highlights films offer a beautifully crafted, cinematic retelling of your day — perfect for revisiting those special memories and sharing them with loved ones.
Our standard highlights film is set to music and does not include recorded audio from speeches, vows or the ceremony. If you would like to incorporate recorded audio into your film, additional options may be available at an additional cost. Please enquire about these options when selecting your collection.
9. How do we receive our photographs and film?
Your completed photographs are delivered through a private online gallery, making it easy to view, share and download your images.
You can access your gallery from your computer, tablet or phone and share the link with family and friends. Your high-resolution photographs are suitable for printing as well as digital use.
If your collection includes cinematic highlights videography, your film will be delivered digitally as part of your collection.
We recommend downloading and safely backing up your images and film once they have been delivered so that you always have your own copies.
10. How long will it take to receive our wedding photographs and film?
We know how excited you will be to relive your wedding day, and we put great care into preparing your final collection.
Our typical delivery timeframe for wedding photographs is 6–8 weeks after your wedding day. During this time, we carefully select and individually edit your images to ensure your gallery reflects the quality and artistic style you booked us for.
If your collection includes cinematic highlights videography, your film will also be carefully edited and prepared for delivery. The applicable delivery arrangements will be confirmed with you as part of your booking.
We appreciate your patience while we give your memories the time and attention they deserve. Our goal is to deliver a beautiful, cohesive collection that you will treasure for years to come.
11. How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking as soon as you have confirmed your wedding date and venue, especially if you are planning a popular wedding date or a Saturday celebration.
We accept a limited number of weddings to ensure that every couple receives the attention and care their celebration deserves. Once your date has been secured with the required booking arrangements, you can relax knowing that your photography plans are in place.
If your date is approaching soon, you are still welcome to enquire. We will gladly let you know whether we are available.
12. How do we secure our wedding date?
The first step is to get in touch with us and confirm whether your wedding date is available.
We will guide you through our collections, answer your questions and provide the relevant booking documentation. Your date is secured once the required agreement and booking payment have been completed in accordance with your booking terms.
We recommend finalising your booking before making your photography plans around availability, as dates cannot be guaranteed until the booking process is complete.
13. Can we customise a package to suit our wedding?
Our collections have been thoughtfully designed to provide different levels of coverage and services for different celebrations.
If you have specific requirements, please let us know when you enquire. We will explain the available options and help you determine which collection is the best fit for your day.
Our goal is to find the right fit for your celebration while maintaining the quality, attention to detail and artistic standards that define our work.
14. Do you travel outside Cape Town?
We are based in Cape Town and photograph weddings at a variety of beautiful venues across the region.
If you are planning a wedding outside our usual service area, please include your venue and wedding date in your enquiry. We can then confirm availability and advise you of any applicable travel arrangements or additional costs.
Destination weddings and celebrations in special locations are always welcome enquiries.
15. What happens if the weather isn’t perfect?
Cape Town weather can be wonderfully unpredictable! We always work with the conditions available on the day and adapt our approach to make the most of your location.
Overcast skies can create beautiful, soft light, while a little rain can lead to wonderfully atmospheric photographs. If the weather changes, we will work with you and your planner or venue to find suitable alternatives where possible.
Our priority is to keep you comfortable, make the most of the available light and create beautiful photographs regardless of whether the day unfolds exactly as planned.

16. Can we request a particular editing style?
We love hearing about the atmosphere and aesthetic you envision for your wedding. You are welcome to share inspiration images with us so we can understand what you are drawn to.
Our portfolio showcases our established photographic style, including our approach to colour, light, composition and editing. When you book us, you are choosing that artistic vision and trusting us to apply it to your unique wedding day.
While every wedding is different, we maintain a consistent style across our work rather than recreating another photographer’s editing or applying entirely different treatments to individual images.
This allows us to deliver a cohesive, thoughtfully finished gallery that reflects the work you fell in love with when you first discovered us.
17. Can you guarantee specific photographs or moments?
We carefully plan your coverage and work hard to capture the important moments, people and details discussed before your wedding.
However, weddings are live events, and some moments happen unexpectedly or simultaneously. Lighting, weather, venue restrictions and the actions of guests can also affect what is possible.
While we cannot guarantee every individual photograph or spontaneous moment, we bring our experience, preparation and creativity to capturing your day as completely and beautifully as circumstances allow.
If there are particularly important people, group photographs or special moments you would like us to prioritise, we encourage you to share these with us ahead of time.
18. Can we extend our photography coverage on the day?
If you think you may need additional coverage, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can discuss the available options.
Additional coverage may be possible depending on our schedule and the arrangements for your wedding day. Any additional fees and the agreed coverage will be confirmed with you before proceeding.
We recommend choosing coverage that comfortably accommodates your planned celebrations so that you can enjoy your day without feeling rushed.
19. Do you have any advice for our guests during the ceremony and formal photographs?
We love that your friends and family want to capture memories of your wedding, too.
However, having guests step into the aisle with phones or cameras can sometimes obstruct our view of important moments or distract from the ceremony itself.
We recommend considering an unplugged ceremony, where guests are invited to put their devices away and be fully present. It allows everyone to enjoy the moment while giving us the best opportunity to create beautiful, unobstructed photographs.
During formal portraits, allowing us a little space to direct and photograph you also helps us work efficiently and create the polished results you see in our portfolio.

20. What makes Andrea Fourie Photography different?
We believe your wedding photographs should be more than a collection of pretty pictures. They should be a meaningful record of your people, your relationships and the atmosphere of one of the most important days of your life.
Our approach combines professional experience, artistic direction, thoughtful editing and genuine care for the couples who trust us with their memories.
We take the time to understand your plans, guide you when needed and pay attention to the moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. We want you to feel comfortable, confident and fully present on your wedding day, knowing that your memories are in experienced hands.
We are passionate about creating work that feels beautiful today and remains meaningful for generations to come.
21. How do we get started?
We would love to hear about your plans!
Send us an enquiry with your wedding date, venue and a little information about the celebration you are planning. We will confirm our availability and share the collection details relevant to your day.
From your first enquiry to the final delivery of your photographs, our aim is to make the experience professional, personal and enjoyable.
Your story deserves to be told beautifully. We’d love to be the ones to tell it.
